Long Live Vista Mural

Murals can transform public space and enhance individual lives. If you have a private business owner or an artist and are interested in creating a mural on public facing property, there are six steps to the public process.

Proposal Process

Submit a Public Arts Proposal by filling out this form. When complete, email to vistapublicart@cityofvista.com

  • Proposal must include the Property Owner’s consent. The city will enter into an agreement with the property owner and the artist for murals.

  • Funding must be secured for the art.

A 30-day Public Notice posting period (also posted in a binder at the City Clerk’s counter).

Proposed art placed on the Public Art Commission for approval.

Following the 30-day appeal period, proposed art placed on the City Council agenda for final approval.

City enters into an agreement between the Property Owner and the Artist .
