Construction of all public buildings and infrastructure projects is accomplished through the Engineering Division.  Whether the City needs a wider road, new sidewalks, a new building, a new bike path, landscaped medians along high traffic areas, or a larger-sized sewer pipe to accommodate the growth of Vista neighborhoods, the CIP team provides the services needed to improve the quality of Vista's public facilities and infrastructure.

Through a diligent prioritization process, the CIP Division is able to identify facilities or infrastructure most in need of repair, locate funding through the City’s General Fund or outside grants, select the appropriate contractor to complete the work, and finalize the project for public use.
