Tree planting at Brengle Terrace Park

The City of Vista's Public Works Department is committed to enhancing the beauty, health, and sustainability of our city. One of our current endeavors is our continuous effort to bolster Vista's tree canopy.

The City of Vista actively seeks out and secures grants that allow us to plant more trees across Vista. The results? More than $600,000+ in grant funds dedicated entirely to supporting and expanding our city's tree canopy since 2018.

Why Trees Matter

Trees are more than just a natural decor for our city. They:

- Improve air quality
- Offer shade and reduce urban heat
- Enhance our community's aesthetic and property values
- Support biodiversity and wildlife

In our efforts to acquire these grants, we're not just planting trees – we're planting a healthier, more beautiful future for all of Vista's residents.

The City of Vista thanks all partners, contributors, and residents for their continuous support in making our tree planting vision a reality.
