Upcoming Affordable Housing
Santa Fe Senior Village
On January 10, 2023, the City Council approved the first permanent supportive housing development in Vista, the Santa Fe Senior Village development will be located at 414 and 428 N. Santa Fe Avenue. The project will provide 54 high-quality, affordable housing units serving extremely low and very low-income seniors. The development includes 27 units for seniors experiencing homelessness, with two units set aside for veterans experiencing homelessness, and 27 units will serve extremely low and low-income seniors. Onsite wraparound supportive services for those experiencing homelessness will be fully integrated into the development. The Santa Fe Senior Village broke ground for construction in March 2023 and is expected to be completed this fall.

All applicants will be selected from the Housing Authority of the County of San Diego's waiting list based on program criteria, federal housing policies, and the authority’s administrative plan.

First-Time Homebuyer Program
Eligible, first-time Vista homebuyers may qualify for a low-interest, deferred payment loan through the County of San Diego. Funds are currently available, contact a loan officer from the Participating Lender List to get started!

- Middle-Income Down Payment Assistance Program (up to 120% Area Median Income)
