The City of Vista is excited to introduce its E-Bike Safety Training & Rebate Program, designed to promote safe and sustainable transportation options for our residents. With the increasing popularity of e-bikes, it's essential that riders have the necessary knowledge and skills to ride safely. Our program combines educational training sessions with rebates to make e-bike ownership more accessible to everyone. 

Program Details 

Safety Training Sessions: The City of Vista has partnered with the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition to conduct safety training. There will be both virtual and in-person training sessions to accommodate different learning preferences. Virtual sessions cover essential safety guidelines, while in-person sessions provide hands-on training. Both options ensure you're equipped with the knowledge and skills to ride safely.

Virtual Training Session

In-Person Training Sessions (limit to 20 people)

Dive deeper into e-bike safety with hands-on training at the Vista Civic Center. Participants must be 10 years of age or older (the program is recommended for children between the ages of 10 and 14). Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Note: training sessions may be rescheduled if the minimum participation requirements are not met.

Rebate Opportunities
Attendees of our training sessions are eligible for rebates on e-bike purchases. Rebate amounts vary based on the type of training attended and the purchase location. Low-income residents may qualify for additional incentives.

Helmet Distribution
Safety is our top priority. As part of the program, we will offer free helmets to participants to ensure they have the necessary protection while riding.
