Weed & Vegetation Abatement
Each year, in preparation for the upcoming fire season and ahead of the Vista Fire Department’s visual property inspections starting on June 1, “Notice to Clean Premises” letters are sent to selected property owners. These notices serve as reminders to maintain fire-safe properties, and this proactive approach has been highly effective in reducing the risk of vegetation fires in the community.
Please note: The “Notice to Clean Premises” letters are sent before the Vista Fire Department conducts property inspections. If your property meets the weed abatement policy requirements by June 1, no further action or notification will be necessary.
The Vista Fire Prevention Bureau thanks property owners in advance for their cooperation and appreciates the high level of compliance, which helps keep the Vista community safe from fire hazards.
