Joe Green, City Council Member

District 2

Joe Green was first elected to city council in 2016, was reelected in 2020, and was appointed by the City Council to serve as Deputy Mayor in 2021. He has owned a business in the city of Vista for years, and has been married to his wife Jennifer for 20+ years. Joe is the proud father of 4 children. A product of Vista Unified School district, he  attended Vista schools K-12, and served our community in the PTA for 10+ years. He feels that serving kids is helping to build our future.

While serving as a councilmember, he hopes to improve communication and lead collaboration city wide to form a more diverse and inclusive community. Additionally, Mr. Green hopes to work with the school district to serve our community as a whole as effectively as possible. Joe is always available and willing to talk with any citizen of Vista. He says, “The best way to make progress within our city is to have an open form of communication with all citizens."
