Vista City Council Advisory Commissions, Boards, & Committees
Advisory commissions, boards, and committees enable citizens to participate in the City of Vista's government process. Members of these commissions, boards, and committees serve in an advisory capacity by making recommendations for the City Council to consider. All meetings are open to the public.
How to Apply
To serve on a commission, board, or committee, interested residents must submit an application to the City Clerk's Office. Applications are accepted throughout the year and will remain on file until December 31.

Completed applications may be hand-delivered or mailed to the City Clerk's Office at 200 Civic Center Drive, Vista, CA 92084, or emailed to Kathy Valdez, City Clerk.

Vacancies
In accordance with the Maddy Local Appointive Act, [GC §54970] which came into effect on January 1, 1977, the list of upcoming vacancies and position requirements, will be posted by December 31 of each year.
In addition to the required annual announcement of planned vacancies, the Office of the City Clerk announces each vacancy, planned and unplanned, as it occurs throughout the year.
