Pollution Prevention

All residents and businesses in Vista are required to implement stormwater pollution prevention Best  Management Practices. Fact sheets and resources for pollution prevention and stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs) are provided on the City of Vista’s Online Resources webpage.

Business License – Stormwater Discharge Compliance Requirements

SB205 was passed in October 2, 2019 and requires businesses that are regulated by the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) Industrial General NPDES Permit provide the City with the primary SIC Code of the business, and the WDID, NEC, or NONA number as proof of coverage under the Industrial

General NPDES Permit when applying for a City business tax certificate or a business tax certificate renewal. For more information on SB205, please visit the California Waterboards website and the City of Vista’s Business License website for more information.

Water Conservation and Drought

Vista Irrigation District provides drinking water to Vista residents. Information about water conservation and drought can be found at VID District

Fats, Oils, and Grease (FOG)

Geographic Information System (GIS) Data

The City's Geographic Information System (GIS) provides public access to spatial data through interactive maps and viewing tools.  These tools are available on the GIS homepage page, including Stormwater Atlas maps that depict the City's storm drain system.
