Join the Rise Above Program, an 8-week youth leadership initiative hosted by the Vista Sheriff’s Office, designed for third, fourth, and fifth graders and their parents. This free program, exclusive to Vista residents, offers valuable lessons on important topics like gang prevention, physical and mental wellness, and drug/alcohol/tobacco awareness. Through engaging presentations, role-playing, activities, and guest speakers, families will gain insights into law enforcement and community services. Parental participation is required. Sessions will be held every Thursday from 6 pm to 8 pm, starting September 12, 2024, at the Linda Rhoades Recreation Center.
